A wonderful route by the Camino y Jara club. We start from Gaucín Station, a district of Cortes de la Frontera also known as El Colmenar, bordering the greatly swollen Guadiaro River at the height of the Colmenar Dam. Next, we cross the train tracks via an enabled passage, to begin ascending through the cork oak and pine forests of the Loberos and Casilla Gorges. Also noteworthy are the abundant, large strawberry trees, laden with their red and sweet fruits at this time, forming in a way an extensive strawberry tree grove, given their continuity. We are in the heart of Los Alcornocales Natural Park.
